1992-94, The Acceptable Face | portraits of politicians by nick sinclair | location photography with portable studio

These photographs are from my exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, in London (1994). The subjects were all leading figures from British political life, either serving MPs or Peers, in an as yet unreformed House of Lords. The exhibition was the first show by a contemporary British photographer in the new photography gallery and was seen by 180,000 people. The Acceptable Face, was published as a book by Cornerhouse and NPG publications (out of print).
